Description

This CEF philatelic sheet features a carefully designed layout dedicated to the "Council of Europe". On the left side, two cancelled stamps are integrated into the sheet, displaying face values of 2.50 and 3.40 respectively. Each stamp bears a stylized illustration of the map of Europe, accompanied by the mention "Council of Europe" and a special star-shaped cancellation mark.

On the right, a large color illustration occupies half of the sheet. This graphic composition brings together numerous stylized European flags around a blue circle adorned with yellow stars, at the center of which is a representation of the map of Europe in dark blue on a light background. The whole is framed by a black line, highlighting the official presentation typical of CEF issues.

The sheet also includes explanatory text printed in French, detailing the history, role, and mission of the Council of Europe since its creation in 1949. This text occupies the lower right part of the sheet and highlights the main stages of European integration.

In the left margin, the sheet number ("N° 1085 of the CEF catalogue"), mentions relating to the CEF publisher, as well as the print run of the issue (13,500 on silk and 20,300 on paper) are visible. An individual number, "5422", is printed at the bottom left of the sheet.

The surface of the sheet has a smooth appearance, with a slightly textured white finish, typical of CEF productions. The visible perforations on the left indicate a format designed for a specialized binder or binding.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible side shows no major apparent defects; colors are vibrant and inscriptions legible. Some minor signs of wear or marks may be present, typical of a sheet stored in a binder.
