AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This CEF philatelic sheet honors Eugène Fromentin (1820-1876), a French writer and painter. The visible side features a carefully composed layout with, on the left, a drawn portrait of Eugène Fromentin on a beige background, accompanied by his biography printed in black. On the right, a reproduction of a pictorial work depicting an architectural landscape, in shades of brown and sky blue, occupies the lower part of the card.
The sheet also includes a detailed text on Fromentin's life and work, as well as a handwritten quote from one of his writings. In the upper right corner, a franked and canceled postage stamp, bearing the "La Rochelle 23 Sept. 1978" postmark, highlights the philatelic dimension of this document. A medallion illustrated with Fromentin's face appears on the postmark.
In the left margin, the sheet bears the mention "N°389 du catalogue CEF" as well as a copy number "8877", which confirms its limited production. Several pieces of information relating to the print run (number of copies per language) are also printed vertically.
The entire item is presented in a perforated plastic sleeve, suitable for binder filing, protecting the sheet while facilitating its handling. The main colors are beige, brown, black, and blue, with an elegant layout highlighted by a brown border.

Used item, sold as is. The visible side appears in good overall condition, with no major defects apparent in the photo. Plastic sleeve present, suitable for preservation.
