Illustrated philatelic sheet, issued by the CEF (Cercle des Émetteurs Français), dedicated to the artist Francis Bacon. The visible side presents a French 5.00 F stamp bearing the effigy of Francis Bacon, accompanied by a First Day Cover (FDC) cancellation dated Paris. To the right of the stamp is a partial reproduction of one of Bacon's works, "Study for the Portrait of John Edwards," in dark, nuanced tones, typical of the artist's pictorial universe. The sheet is framed by a golden border, and the lettering "FRANCIS BACON" appears at the top in silver capital letters.

The presentation combines a sober visual composition with a descriptive layout, integrating explanatory text about Francis Bacon's work. The text details the painter's artistic approach, his treatment of human forms, and the emotional power of his images. The sheet is protected in a transparent plastic sleeve, with a mention of the limited edition at the bottom left (number 5084).

On the side strip, the inscriptions "Feuillet des Éditions CEF" and "La S.O.D.O.P., 9, rue de la Grange Batelière, Paris" are visible, as well as the reference to CEF catalogue no. 1187. The upper part of the sheet includes the reference to the Société des Éditions CEF and the corresponding logo. The stamp and cancellation are perfectly visible, as is Francis Bacon's printed signature below the postmark.

The set is in very good visual condition on the presented side, with no noticeable traces of wear, folds, or discoloration. The sheet is well-preserved in its original sleeve, which protects the print and colors. No major defects are visible on the illustrated surface or on the edges of the sheet.
