This CEF philatelic souvenir sheet honors Fulgence Bienvenüe, an engineer and emblematic figure of the Paris Metro (1852-1936). The visible side features an illustration composed of a portrait of Bienvenüe on the left, a stylized metro train against a background of metallic structures and vibrant colors, as well as two illustrated stamps, both canceled with "Le Métro" and "Paris" postmarks. The whole is framed by a decorative border of classical inspiration.

The souvenir sheet includes a large text area detailing the biography of Fulgence Bienvenüe and his role in the creation of the Paris Metro. The name of the artist, Jacques Gauthier, Grand Prix de Rome for engraving, is clearly visible, mentioned as the creator of the stamp and the illustration.

On the left, the souvenir sheet displays the CEF (Covers Éditions Philatéliques) logo, as well as edition and numbering information, visible on the edge ("4270"). The format is rectangular and the presentation is neat, typical of French commemorative philatelic editions.

Did you know? Fulgence Bienvenüe, known as the "father of the Paris Metro", supervised the construction of the first Parisian metropolitan network, inaugurated in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition. His name was given to the "Bienvenüe" station (now Montparnasse-Bienvenüe), in homage to his founding role in the history of Parisian urban transport.
