This illustrated sheet, published by CEF (Covers Événements Philatéliques), honors Jacques Callot, the celebrated 17th-century Lorraine engraver. In the bottom right of the sheet, a 1992 French postage stamp with a face value of 500F is affixed. The stamp bears the inscription "JACQUES CALLOT Portrait de Claude Deruet" and is canceled with a legible commemorative postmark, dated July 19, 1992, in Nancy, featuring Callot's profile and the inscription "Premier jour" (First Day).
