This CEF philatelic sheet is dedicated to the 1982 National Stamp Day and features Pablo Picasso's "Woman Reading," exhibited at the Musée de Grenoble. It presents a color reproduction of Picasso's painting, in dominant tones of gray, pink, and black, on the left side. The scene depicts a seated woman, engrossed in reading, stylized according to the artist's classical period.

On the right side of the sheet is a French postage stamp of 1.60 F, illustrated with the same motif, accompanied by a round "Journée du Timbre Paris" postmark dated 1982. The whole is presented on a white cardboard support, bordered with a golden fillet, typical of CEF issues from that era.
