This illustrated philatelic sheet pays tribute to "The Count of Monte Cristo", the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas père, published in 1844. The visible side features a meticulous layout with a text box recounting the history of the novel and its main character, Edmond Dantès. The central illustration, in a modern graphic style, shows a portrait of Alexandre Dumas against a coastal landscape background, probably an evocation of the Château d'If, in harmony with the novel's theme.

On the lower right side of the sheet, a French 0.50 € postage stamp is integrated. This stamp features a portrait of Alexandre Dumas, accompanied by a First Day cancellation dated June 28, 2003, in Paris, bearing the mention "Le Comte de Monte Cristo". The whole is printed on a brown-bordered card, inserted in an original transparent plastic sleeve from CEF (Connaissance et Étude de la Philatélie).

The main text, printed in black on a white background, offers a detailed summary of the novel's plot and characters, with clear and legible typography. The title "Le Comte de Monte-Cristo" is highlighted in orange uppercase letters with a shadow effect. The illustration on the sheet is signed by Jean-Paul Cousin, according to the mention at the bottom of the text.

On the left margin, one can distinguish the inscription "N°1671 from the CEF catalogue" as well as the mention of the limited edition, which gives this sheet a special status within thematic philatelic editions. The sleeve effectively protects the sheet, ensuring good preservation of the whole and a neat presentation.
