Description

This CEF philatelic sheet highlights the manor of Saint-Germain-de-Livet, located in Calvados. The visible side features a detailed color illustration by artist Claude Haley, faithfully depicting the manor's characteristic towers and roofs, with clear blue and brick-red hues. The image occupies the left side of the sheet, while an explanatory text is on the right.

The sheet also features, to the right of the main illustration, a reproduction of the matching stamp, as well as an illustrated postmark stamped "ST GERMAIN-DE-LIVET CALVADOS" with a vignette of the manor. The printing emphasizes the fineness of the drawing and the quality of the architectural details, typical of the Norman region. The sheet is printed on white paper, with a black border framing the whole.

On the left margin, we find the mention "Éditions CEF" as well as the issue number 5830 and technical indications relating to the series, confirming that it is an official CEF (Carterie Édition Philatélique Française) sheet. The text printed on the right provides a historical overview of the manor, evoking its past and owners, as well as local anecdotes.

The artist's signature "C. Haley" appears under the main illustration, attesting to the authenticity of the graphic and philatelic creation. The presentation of the sheet is typical of CEF productions, with a neat layout and an enhancement of regional heritage.

The visible side shows no major signs of wear, chips, or tears. The print and colors appear intact and well-preserved. No defects are observable in the provided photograph.
