In the upper right corner of the sheet is a stamp bearing the effigy of André Chantemesse, accompanied by a first-day cancellation dated October 9, 1982, in Le Puy, which confirms the commemorative nature of this philatelic issue. The whole is framed with a golden fillet (golden aspect visible in the photo), adding an elegant touch to the presentation.
On the left border, there is the mention "Éditions CEF – N° 854 du catalogue CEF", as well as information on the print run of the issue. The sheet visible in the photo is carefully perforated on the left side, allowing it to be inserted into a philatelic album.
The printed biographical text traces André Chantemesse's journey, from his origins to his work on vaccination and water sanitation, highlighting his essential contribution to medicine and public health in France.
The sheet is presented on a white background, with an example number "10152" visible in the lower left. No major defects are visible on the exposed side: the surface appears clean, without apparent stains, creases or tears.
