Description

This official CEF philatelic sheet highlights the theme of La Francophonie, with a graphic illustration entrusted to Charles Bridoux, a famous stamp designer and graphic artist. The visual composition is remarkable: on the left side, three series of stylized profile silhouettes can be distinguished, in shades of blue, gray, and red, evoking the diversity and unity of French-speaking countries. The graphic design, both clean and symbolic, is in a contemporary 1980s style.

On the right side, a large text area titled "LA FRANCOPHONIE" details the history and challenges of international Francophonie. The text is printed in black on a white background, with clear and neat typography, typical of CEF sheets from this period.

A franked postage stamp appears at the bottom right of the sheet, accompanied by a "First Day" postmark dated January 15, 1985, in Paris. The postmark features the silhouette motif and the mention "LA FRANCOPHONIE". The stamp also shows the stylized profiles, in harmony with the main illustration, and the mentions "Droits des peuples" (Rights of peoples) and "LA FRANCOPHONIE".

The whole is framed by a thin line, with a neat and professional presentation. At the bottom, the mention specifies: "The illustration was entrusted to Charles Bridoux, graphic designer and stamp designer."

The sheet rests on a perforated backing sheet, typical of CEF presentations, with the reference N° 755 from the CEF catalog visible on the left. The individual print run number 12767 appears at the bottom left of the sheet.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible surface of the sheet shows excellent preservation, with no apparent major defects. The colors remain vibrant, the text perfectly legible, and the postmark clear. Any additional observation on the condition concerns only the visible side in the photo.
