Description

The philatelic sheet shown in the photo is a document published by the CEF (Cercle des Émis de France), dedicated to the theme of "Le Droit Humain" (Human Rights) in the context of Freemasonry. The visible side features a color print, centered around a triangle adorned with a double-headed eagle and Masonic symbols, as well as two columns bearing the initials "J" and "B". The title "LE DROIT HUMAIN" is at the top of the page in black capital letters.

A French stamp with a face value of 3.40 francs is affixed to this sheet, accompanied by a first-day cancellation (round black stamp) bearing the inscription "PREMIER JOUR LE DROIT HUMAIN 1993" and "PARIS". The rectangular stamp features architectural and symbolic motifs, characteristic of French philatelic issues related to history or initiatic societies.

The text printed in two columns frames the central illustration and recounts the history of Freemasonry, its origins, its establishment in France, as well as the birth and evolution of the international mixed order Le Droit Humain. The left side of the sheet also mentions the reference "N° 1119 of the CEF catalog," as well as the limited edition and copy number "4398" at the bottom left.

The overall presentation of the sheet is sober, with a fine frame and matte surface paper. The prints are clear, with no apparent defects on the visible side. The document also has perforations on the left, allowing it to be stored in a philatelic binder.

The illustration of the central triangle is signed Marie-Noëlle COFFIN, as specified at the bottom right of the text. The main colors observed are blue, red, golden yellow, and black, highlighting the Masonic iconography and the graphic style specific to CEF sheets.

Condition

This sheet is second-hand and sold as is. The visible side shows no major defects, nor apparent signs of wear or creases. The print is well-preserved, and the philatelic elements (stamp, postmark) are clear.
