Description
This illustrated philatelic sheet is an official document published for the PHILEXFRANCE 82 International Philatelic Exhibition in Paris. It is a CEF (Courrier d’Entreprise à Faciale) sheet featuring an artistic composition by Jean-Michel Folon, created specifically for this event. The visible side of the sheet highlights two colorful stamps with a celestial motif, accompanied by a central watercolor-style illustration depicting several circular shapes evoking celestial bodies on a faded navy blue background.
The sheet is framed with a golden border and features several printed areas: at the top left, the title "Exposition Philatélique Internationale PHILEXFRANCE 82 PARIS" is clearly legible, while at the top right, an explanatory text about the work and its context appears, notably mentioning the reference to Stanley Kubrick's universe. The two stamps, positioned side-by-side, display vibrant colors (blue, yellow, red, green) with a commemorative postmark dated "12 JUIN 1982" bearing the inscription "PARIS - LA DÉFENSE" and a facsimile signature "FOLON".
The main illustration occupies the lower part of the sheet; it is composed of a set of circles of various sizes and colors, suggesting a poetic interpretation of planets or stars. The caption specifies that it is a color proof for an original etching and aquatint by Jean-Michel Folon, created for the issuance of the two stamps visible at the top right.
The sheet is presented in a transparent sleeve, inserted into a three-hole punched binder page, allowing it to be stored flat and protected. On the left side strip, the mention "N° 622 du catalogue CEF" is found, as well as the item number "1873" printed at the bottom left of the sheet.
The inscriptions are clear, with no visible signs of wear, and the colors remain vivid and contrasted on the exposed side. No apparent defects are observable on the visible area of the photo, nor any notable alteration of the paper support.
Condition
Used item, sold as is. Neat presentation, well-preserved colors, no visible alteration on the exposed side.
