Description
This philatelic sheet, shown in the photo, is published by CEF (Connaissance et Étude de la Philatélie), reference No. 286 in the CEF catalog, as indicated in the side margin. It features the Saint-Germain-de-Livet manor, located in Calvados, through a large central color illustration faithfully representing its typical architecture of turrets and checkerboard stone and brick walls.
The sheet displays, on the left side, an artistic reproduction signed "C. Haley," indicating that Claude Haley is the artist who designed both the stamp and the main illustration. To the right of the image, a detailed text recounts the history of the manor, its owners, and its architectural heritage.
The stamp, included in the sheet's composition (bottom right), depicts a detail of the manor and bears the inscription "Saint-Germain-de-Livet Calvados." There is also an illustrated cancellation, highlighting the building, date, and location, typical of CEF philatelic editions.
The sheet is inserted into a transparent perforated plastic sleeve for filing, typical of CEF editions, with the numbering 5995 on the side strip. The ensemble presents a meticulous finish, with texts printed in black on an off-white background, and a layout structured around the central illustration.
The visible side shows no apparent defects, tears, or significant signs of wear. The sheet maintains excellent printing clarity and well-preserved colors.
Condition
Used item sold as is, as visible in the photo. No major defects observed on the presented side.
