Description

Lead soldier figurine depicting an officer of the Royal Horse Guards, dated 1810, from the del Prado collection. The piece is hand-painted and features a detailed military uniform, consisting of a blue jacket with red lapels, light trousers, and tall black boots. The officer wears a black bicorne with gold ornamentation and a red plume, typical of early 19th-century British uniforms. The figurine holds a saber in its right hand, with the golden guard clearly visible. The straight and proud posture evokes the military pomp of the Napoleonic era.

The round, dark-colored base features the legible inscription: "Officer, Royal Horse Guards, 1810" as well as the "del Prado collection" logo. The ensemble shows precise molding work, with sharp details on the braids, epaulets, and uniform accessories. The main visible colors are navy blue, red, off-white, and gold, with a matte finish typical of collectible military figurines.

The front of the figurine, visible in the photo, shows some signs of wear on the paint, particularly on the trousers and boots, as well as small marks on the base. The facial features are expressive, with a rosy complexion and a determined expression, faithful to the iconography of British heavy cavalry officers of the early 19th century.

The object is presented standing, with the sword held vertically in the right hand, the left hand resting on the side of the uniform. The details of the bicorne, the decorations on the chest, and the crossed straps are clearly visible and reinforce the authenticity of the historical reconstruction offered by del Prado.

The figurine belongs to the iconic del Prado lead soldier series, renowned for the quality of its historical reproductions. The circular base ensures good stability for display on a shelf or in a display case.
