Old mechanical tin toy representing a circus seal performing an acrobatic act. The elongated seal is depicted balancing on its rear flippers, its head raised to hold a colorful ball between its front flippers. The ensemble displays a vibrant color palette dominated by blue, red, white, and touches of black, in a graphic style typical of mid-20th century tin toys.

The seal's body is painted in a gradient from light to dark blue, adorned with red and blue circular patterns reminiscent of the spotted coats of some marine mammals. The front flippers are decorated with red and black stripes, and the caudal fin features the same graphic pattern. The head has black details for the eyes, stylized whiskers, and mouth, adding a playful expression to the whole.

The toy is equipped with a wind-up mechanism (key not visible in the image), typical of mechanical tin toys, allowing the seal to animate the ball it balances. The ball is decorated with red, white, blue, and black bands, coordinated with the rest of the toy, and fixed vertically between the flippers. The overall finish shows a nice sheen, with some signs of wear and oxidation visible on the tin, particularly on the top of the body and around the mechanism, indications of past use.

The toy's graphic style, color palette, and manufacturing technique clearly evoke the painted tin toys produced during the 1950s-1970s, although no brand is legible on the visible side here. This type of toy, known as "tinplate toy" or "tin toy," was commonly manufactured in Japan, Germany, or Eastern Europe during this period, but no inscription of origin appears in this view.

The toy's finishes highlight its playful and decorative character: the stylized silhouette, hand-painted details, and combination of bold colors give it a very recognizable retro style. The spring mechanism, integrated under the body, is partially visible on the side. No other accessories are visible in the photo.

Used item, sold as is. Small paint wear, slight traces of oxidation and some marks on the tin, visible on exposed areas (body, flippers, ball). The colors remain vibrant, the overall appearance is decorative. Details not visible in the photo cannot be guaranteed. Mechanism function not tested.
