This issue of the illustrated newspaper "Lisette" is dated Sunday, June 11, 1933, as indicated at the top right of the cover. It is issue number 24 of the thirteenth year, meaning the 622nd delivery of this weekly publication for young girls, known as "Journal des fillettes" (Girls' Newspaper). The cover features a large title "Lisette" in blue and white lettering, framed by stylized roses on a cream background.

The cover page is adorned with a color illustration depicting two characters in an indoor scene: an elderly woman wearing a headscarf and clogs, leaning on a cane, facing a man in a dark jacket, clearly in the midst of an animated discussion, in front of a desk from which papers are escaping. The title of the featured story, "Le Secret du lac (Suite)" (The Secret of the Lake (Continued)), is printed at the bottom of the page, accompanied by a note inviting readers to find the continuation on page 46. The graphic details, drawing style, and layout are typical of French youth press from the early 1930s.

The newspaper advertises 16 pages ("16 Pages" in a yellow box to the left under the title) and a price of 25 centimes (yellow box to the right). The mention "Parait : Chaque Semaine" (Appears: Every Week) attests to its periodicity. The visible copy shows a general patina: the paper has uniformly yellowed, brown stains and moisture marks are visible on the lower part and the right edge. The corners are blunted, particularly the upper left, and a small tear appears on the right border. The print remains legible, and the colors of the cover, although slightly faded by time, retain their original contrast.

The typography, layout, and iconography are characteristic of pre-war youth periodicals. No interior content is visible in this photograph; only the front cover is presented for observation.

Condition

This newspaper is a used item, sold as is. Yellowing of the paper, stains, wear, and small visible defects on the cover, consistent with an authentic copy from 1933.
