Description

Old handwritten document presented on a period paper sheet, with cursive writing in brown ink. The piece bears a legible date at the top, "1.9.1797", and is presented as an administrative statement or list, notably mentioning sums, due dates, and references to an inheritance.

The layout, structured in successive lines, evokes a private or notarial management document: accounts, payment promises, capital, interest, and mentions of people. Several passages remain legible, including "Bordereau" (statement), "Colombet", "succession" (inheritance), and various sums entered in the margin or in the body of the text.

The paper has irregular edges, an oxidized cream tint, and traces of folding, characteristic of handwritten documents kept unbound.
