This old handwritten letter, dated 10/12/1944, is on letterhead from the insurance company "LA PROTECTRICE" (Paris IXe). The document shows a page written in black ink, with a handwritten text on the visible side. The printed letterhead is clearly legible in the upper left, indicating the company name, the address of the head office (45-47, Rue de Châteaudun, Paris IXe), as well as the mention "Compagnie Anonyme d’Assurances à Primes fixes" (Fixed-Premium Anonymous Insurance Company).

The letter features fine, regular cursive handwriting, typical of private correspondence from the mid-20th century. The document is dated and localized in the upper right ("Toulon ce 10/12/44"), precisely placing this testimony in the context of World War II. The text begins with an affectionate greeting and recounts personal impressions, making it an authentic testimony of daily life during wartime.

The paper has a slightly yellowed appearance and some folds, visible signs of its age and use. Used item, sold as is. Yellowing of the paper, marked folds and slight dog-earing of one corner, with no apparent tears on the visible side. Ink slightly faded in places, but the entire text and letterhead remain legible.
