Description

This lot consists of several antique French stamps, visible in the photo, showing a variety of postal and fiscal uses. At the top of the image, an envelope or fragmentary document displays several affixed stamps, including an orange "Sower" type stamp marked "REMBOURSEMENT" on an orange triangle, accompanied by a blue 10c "POSTES" stamp and an orange 25c stamp. The ensemble bears traces of partially legible circular cancellations, indicating effective postal use.

On the left, an ocher-colored fiscal stamp from the "TIMBRE IMPERIAL" administration features a "30" surcharge and an "DIMENSION 1860" inscription. This type of stamp was used for the payment of duties on official documents in the 19th century.

In the bottom right, a typical French telegraph stamp, purplish in color, bears the inscription "TELEGRAPHE" and the mention "REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE". The face value "30" is clearly visible, as is the classic representation of a seated figure, characteristic of these issues.

To the right, another black and grey stamp, also intended for the telegraph service, bears the same value "30" and the mention "TELEGRAPHE", but in a different typography, showing the diversity of issues in this category.

All stamps show signs of use: traces of handling, cancellations, visible patina and wear, particularly blunted corners and handling marks on the support.
