Description

Illustrated magazine shown in the photo, it is a copy of the famous Franco-Belgian periodical "Spirou". The cover features a vibrant green background, characteristic of some recent editions, with the "SPIROU" logo in the top left in a yellow and green cartouche. The main illustration depicts a full-length character holding a caricatural drawing in front of their face, typical of the magazine's graphic humor.

In the top right, we can see the mention "Concours Mégaglups – gagnez l'intégrale des albums de Raoul Cauvin ! Plus de 200 titres !" (Mégaglups Contest – win the complete collection of Raoul Cauvin's albums! Over 200 titles!). On the left, the title "Génération RAOUL et s'il n'était pas le seul ?" (RAOUL Generation and what if he wasn't the only one?) attracts attention, accompanied by a red box "La fin des tuniques : l'histoire au crayon se taille !" (The end of the tunics: the pencil story is taking shape!). The bottom of the cover bears the handwritten mention "Spécial Cauvin", indicating an issue dedicated to this major comic book writer.

The barcode at the bottom left displays the reference M 03251 - 3442 and the price of €1.60. The whole is printed on glossy paper typical of magazines from this period. No major defects are visible on the front: the cover appears clean, with no apparent tears or folds, with still vibrant colors and a sharp graphic rendering.

This issue highlights Raoul Cauvin, an emblematic figure of Spirou magazine, and offers a special feature as well as contests related to his works. The general aesthetic, the choice of fonts, and the graphic style correspond to an early 2000s edition, confirmed by the numbering (3442) and the price in euros.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible cover is in good overall condition, with no major apparent defects on the front. Some minor signs of use are possible, consistent with a circulated magazine.

Did you know? Raoul Cauvin (1938-2021) was one of the most prolific writers in Franco-Belgian comics, creating or co-creating iconic series published in Spirou, such as "Les Tuniques Bleues", "Cédric", and "Pierre Tombal". Spirou magazine, launched in 1938, is one of the oldest comic weeklies still published in Europe.
