Description

This antique French labor medal, visible in the photo, is presented in its original hard-top burgundy case. The medal itself features a shiny gold finish with well-defined reliefs. It hangs from a two-tone blue and red ribbon, the upper blue part of which is visible, and the lower red part shows traces of visible white threads. The entire assembly is held in the case by two black metal pins.

The visible side of the medal features rich ornamentation: a raised inscription "MINISTÈRE DU TRAVAIL ET DE LA SÉCURITÉ SOCIALE" (MINISTRY OF LABOR AND SOCIAL SECURITY) is clearly visible around the perimeter, and in the center, in a cartouche, the name "MINA PARAJON" and the date "1955". Floral motifs, stylized tools, and leaves complete the decor, typical of French republican symbolism.

The blue and red ribbon, made of fine ribbed fabric, is typical of French honorary distinctions. The colors are vibrant, although wear is visible on the red, with pulled threads and some discolored areas. The case also shows signs of interior wear, particularly at the hinge.

The medal has a classic round shape, with a gold suspension ring attached at the top. No reverse side is visible in the photo; only the front is described here. The entire piece has an authentic look, reflecting an official decoration awarded in France in the mid-20th century.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The medal is in good overall condition with a beautiful golden patina, but the ribbon shows signs of wear (pulled threads, discoloration). The original case also shows signs of aging, mainly on the inside and at the hinge.
