Description

Pocket watch with a round case in silver-plated or white metal, with a bow and fluted crown. The dial bears the Omega signature under the brand symbol, with a peripheral minute track, large black Arabic numerals, and skeletonized blued hands. Small seconds at 6 o'clock, with "Importé de Suisse" (Imported from Switzerland) indicated at the bottom edge of the dial.

The back opens to reveal an Omega-signed mechanical movement, marked 15 jewels and Swiss. The inner dust cover shows an embossed numbering, notably 8762528. The back of the case retains a very faint engraved decoration, worn by use, with a satin and patinated surface.

Context

This watch is part of the Swiss watchmaking tradition of mechanical pocket watches from the early 20th century. The dial composition, highly legible Arabic numerals, independent small seconds, and jeweled movement correspond to a carefully crafted utilitarian production, designed for durable daily use.
