Description

This document is a bearer profit share issued by the Société Minière & Électrique des Landes, dated December 31, 1929. It is an old financial security printed on paper, characteristic of French limited company issues from the early 20th century.

The security features a wide decorative blue-grey border with geometric patterns, framing the main text. The header clearly displays the company's name, followed by the capital, the registered office in Paris, and the unique security number (000399). Several handwritten signatures and official stamps are visible, attesting to the administrative authenticity of the document.

The lower part of the security includes a series of detachable coupons, numbered and stamped "MINELA", corresponding to the various dividend or interest rights attached to the profit share. The entire document is printed in blue on cream paper, with a very recognizable period typography, typical of financial documents from the 1920s-1930s.

The inscriptions are clear and legible, especially the mention "PART BÉNÉFICIAIRE SANS VALEUR NOMINALE AU PORTEUR" (BEARER PROFIT SHARE WITH NO PAR VALUE) and the precise issue date. The sequentially numbered coupons are all attached, which is a plus for collectors of old financial paper or economic history enthusiasts.

The document has an authentic vintage look, with a slight visible patina on the paper, characteristic of its age. No details about the back or non-visible edges are provided, in accordance with the photo presented.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The item shows slight signs of age, including a patina and some small undulations in the paper, with no visible tears on the presented side.

Did you know? Bearer profit shares were commonly used in the early 20th century to reward founders or partners of a company, giving them a share of the profits without holding ordinary shares. This type of security, now obsolete, is a valuable testament to French industrial and financial history.
