Description

Statue depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in a traditional religious style. The work is full-figure, standing on an octagonal base visible in the photo. Christ is depicted with one hand pointing to his heart, the other slightly raised, in the iconic posture associated with this iconography. The facial expression is gentle, the wavy hair falls over the shoulders, and the beard is finely sculpted.

The statue features its original polychromy, with main colors visible: burgundy red for the cape, light beige for the tunic, golden details on the heart and borders, and fair skin tone for the face, hands, and feet. The overall appearance shows significant wear of the paint, with large areas of flaking revealing the light base of the material. The details of the modeling, particularly the folds of the garment and the facial features, are still clearly visible despite the alteration of the pictorial layer.
