Description

This lot brings together a selection of cancelled stamps illustrating classic cars, primarily from Afghanistan, Cambodia (Kingdom of Cambodia/Kampuchea) and Vietnam. Each stamp features a detailed visual of vintage vehicles, including several models of sports and luxury cars, such as Ferraris (GTO, F40, 208 Turbo, F 50), a Bugatti, Rolls Royces, as well as various models of luxury and classic cars from the early and mid-20th century. The stamps are presented in a transparent sleeve on a white background, allowing each illustration to be clearly observed.

The upper part of the lot highlights a series of Afghan stamps (AFGHAN POST, years 1999 and 1984 visible) dedicated to red Ferrari models, accompanied by various face values including 20000 AFS. An Afghan stamp dedicated to a vintage Bugatti, on a blue background, as well as a stamp illustrating an old racing car, are also visible.

In the center, two stamps from the Kingdom of Cambodia feature stylized sports cars, including an orange car on a light background (face value 500R) and a red/orange convertible on a light blue background (value 150R). Next to them, a series from Cambodia/Kampuchea shows a Rolls Royce and a Bugatti on a pastel background, with distinctive details such as the Rolls Royce logo or the name Bugatti written in full.

The lower part of the lot includes a homogeneous series of Vietnamese stamps (VIET NAM, Buu Chinh 1985), illustrating different models of old cars, including convertibles and sedans, on colorful and architectural backgrounds. Some face values are clearly legible: 1d, 2d, 1000d. The designs feature cars in front of stylized buildings, highlighting the historical character of the models presented.

All stamps are cancelled, with visible cancellation marks, attesting to their postal circulation. The general condition observed is good, with no apparent tears or major creases on the visible side, although slight traces of use and cancellation are present in accordance with their postal nature.
